Qld: Truck driver survives second serious crash

A truck driver who lost a leg in an earlier crash has climbed 50 metres up an embankment
to raise help after another accident in Queensland early this morning.

Police say the 45-year-old lost control of his B-double truck on a bend in the D'Aguilar
Highway at Moore .. north-west of Brisbane .. about 1am.

The truck then slid down an embankment on the Blackbutt range.

A spokeswoman for CareFlight says the man from Ormeau .. south of Brisbane .. suffered
severe lacerations and a suspected kidney injury but was able to crawl back up to the
road to find help.

She says he was taken to Esk Hospital and then flown to Royal Brisbane Hospital for
more treatment.
