ALBANY -- Kay Stafford, a longtime lobbyist and widow of state Sen. Ronald Stafford, has kept the political work of her late husband alive through her management of his Senate campaign account.
Since the death of the popular and respected North Country Republican in 2005, the "Committee to Re-elect Stafford" has paid out $58,957 to various charities and GOP campaign committees.
Records show $49,615.33 remains in the account.
Kay Stafford is president of CMA Consulting Services, which currently employs former Senate Majority Leader Joseph L. Bruno as its chief executive officer.
