Vic: $100,000 for information about three-year-old murder

MELBOURNE, April 2 AAP - Police investigating the murder of a Geelong man three yearsago today offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to his killer's conviction.

Earl Neil Mooring, of Wendover Avenue in the Geelong suburb of Norlane, south-westof Melbourne, has not been seen since October 10, 2000.

Police believe Mr Mooring received a phone call at the Norlane address and was luredto property in Solar Drive, Whittington.

Evidence suggests a number of people were waiting at the Whittington address for MrMooring and he was either assaulted or shot.

Police said they believed Mr Mooring was murdered, but it was unclear whether he waskilled at the Whittington property or another location.

Since his disappearance, Mr Mooring's ATM card has been used at six banks in Victoria,NSW and Queensland.
