Vic: Sonar equipment to scan heavily wooded area of Lake Eildon

Sonar equipment is being used to scan a heavily wooded part of Lake Eildon in central
Victoria, where a man was lost overboard when the family speedboat capsized on the weekend.

The sonar from Sydney will be towed behind a police boat to scan a deep area of the
lake, where the water is a tangle of submerged trees and weeds.

The 34-year-old-man from Melbourne was thrown into the water with his wife and their
two young sons when their boat capsized on Saturday.

The woman and two boys were rescued.
