WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 -- General Communication Inc. (GNCMA), Anchorage, Alaska, has filed a Form 4 with the Securities and Exchange Commission noting the change in the beneficial interest held by Senior VP William C. Behnke, Anchorage.
On Feb. 8 the action involved acquisition of 14,351 shares of stock. Behnke now owns 227,900 shares of stock directly and 18,229 shares of stock indirectly.
General Communication Inc. founded in 1979, provides voice, video and data communication services to residential, commercial and government customers. GCI has a 45 percent share of the state's long-distance market, and is the state's largest provider of internet services with cable modem, wireless and dedicated access.
Behnke served as president of GCI Network Systems since 1989. In October 1993, Behnke was named senior vice president of the new sales and marketing department. Before that, Behnke was a senior vice president and manager of marketing and sales for Transalaska Data Systems.
